Dads Care Two takes a father-focused approach to child welfare because a strong, present father is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of negative outcomes for children. We believe every man is capable of greatness.
Fatherlessness is one of the most reliable indicators that a child will experience negative outcomes like violence, incarceration, and homelessness.
Despite this knowledge, most child welfare programs address symptoms rather than the root cause.
A healthy household starts with an involved father. At Dads Care Two, we believe that every man is capable of leading his family with excellence. We use that belief to drive our fatherhood program and bring fathers back to their children.

Helping fathers find their purpose
Dads Care 2 was founded in 2008, but we’ve recently worked to expand our reach. In 2024, we launched our Fatherhood Empowerment Initiative, hoping to reach more fathers.
Our goal was to enroll 40 single fathers dealing with poverty, guide them through our program, and stay connected beyond graduation to ensure there was meaningful change.
We enrolled 43 fathers, and 39 men completed the program. The fathers who graduated were able to transform their lives. They created economic stability where there was instability, and they’re more involved with their children now.
These fathers made real change in their lives, and it’s because they were determined to stick with the initiative and see it through to the end. They are living proof of our founder’s belief – that every man has the power to change the narrative.

Dennis Fontelroy is an Ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ, having previously served as President of the Kansas Southwest Missions Department. He leads Dads Care Two, an organization born from Fontelroy’s belief that every man has the power to rewrite his narrative.
With experience serving on the boards of the Kansas Family Advisory Network and Wichita State University’s School of Social Work and as the Fatherhood and Kinship Navigator for the Kansas Children’s Service League, Fontelroy is well-equipped to lead his team toward igniting real change.

Dads Care Two offers a 24 session program for fathers to grow through. We designed our lessons to address the shortcomings we’ve noticed in existing fatherhood programs, and it’s helped us produce better long-term results for our dads.
